Dr. Amira Marsid grew up in Savannah, Georgia and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Georgia. During her time at UGA, she decided to pursue a career in health care, ultimately deciding on Optometry.
Dr. Marsid received her optometric degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where she trained in primary eye care, as well as in the management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. She was recently enrolled as an optometric resident at Woolfson Eye Institute in Atlanta Georgia, allowing her to optimize her ability to manage ocular disease and enhance her ability to manage refractive surgical patients undergoing procedures like LASIK, PRK and lens implants.
New to the Orlando area, Dr. Marsid enjoys spending her free time visiting the local beaches, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
